It's funny but I remember SU3 of FAR was the only study unit ever where the system identified that it takes me longer than normal to complete it and suggested I moved on and returned to it later - I wanted to cry!!! Up to this day I never fully understood DEPS and hate them.
Better "overprepare" and get it done in one. to reapply with your State board, wait for NTS, reschedule with Prometric, go through the physical ordeal of the exam itself, the stress of the 18 months ticking away, etc. I know the SIMs are tedious and yeah, it might take you a bit longer than other people to finish all the material but think about how much more time (and money) you'd waste after a fail. Also, I took screen shots of the MCQs I got wrong (with explanations) and read them again during the final review. I didn't watch the videos (that blonde lady's voice was driving me nuts!) but I took thorough notes while reading the book and worked through the quizzes and SIMs as suggested. It's easy to get intimidated with Gleim but, as they say, "trust the process" - if you are willing to put in the time and effort, it really works! I passed REG, FAR and AUD on first try.
